Young son chooses to visit garden instead of playground
Norwich — The McWilliams family recently moved to Groton and has been looking online to find nice parks and gardens to visit.
Estacia McWilliams found Mohegan Park online and when they arrived Wednesday, she asked her 3-year-old son, Evan, if he wanted to visit the playground or a garden to see flowers, and he picked the Veterans Memorial Rose Garden located in the park.
The garden is an All-America Rose Selections Test Garden and a 1991 award winner.
