New London — Genesys Diagnostics and Griffith Health are partnering to provide free COVID-19 testing and vaccinations for individuals of all ages during Sailfest in downtown New London this weekend.

Testing and vaccinations will be available Saturday between noon and 7 p.m. at the 45 Sparyard St. parking lot, the newest public parking location operated by the New London Parking Authority.

No appointments are necessary.

“We want to help ensure all Sailfest attendees have access to these testing and vaccine opportunities,” said Carey E. Redd, the city's parking director. “The NLPA is proud to support this GENESYS Diagnostics and Griffith Health public health initiative.”

“As more individuals return to work, shopping, and large gatherings such as New London’s signature event, Sailfest, we want to do our part to help prevent additional large outbreaks of the COVID-19 virus and its variants,” said Divakar Ahuja, president of Genesys Diagnostics.
