Amtrak to hold public information session on Connecticut River Bridge replacement

Amtrak will hold a public informational session at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15 for the Connecticut River Bridge replacement project. The meeting will highlight environmental aspects of the project and welcome local community feedback.

The public meeting will re-introduce the public to “the Connecticut River Bridge Replacement Project, which will build a new, modern two-track, electrified, movable bridge to replace the existing Connecticut River Bridge,” according to an event notice. “The new bridge will provide better reliability for Amtrak and CTRail’s Shore Line East customers while improving maritime operations for the local community.”

Attendees can join the meeting online via Zoom https://bit.ly/3JhOnC0. Attendees may also join via phone at 646-931-3860 using Webinar ID: 822 6042 2411 and Password: 508462.
