    Preschool cooking class

    Groton ― Children participated in at Preschool Cooking Class Friday at the Groton Public Library.

    Children sliced zucchini, summer squash and carrots by hand or used a vegetable spiral slicer. They used the vegetables to make veggie wraps and Instructor Erica Benvenuti, RD, a community nutrition program educator with the UConn Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) made veggie spaghetti for everyone.

    The cooking class that runs on Fridays began Jan. 20 and runs through Feb. 24.
