Waterford to host school job fair on April 19

Waterford ― The school district has announced it is hosting a job fair at Clark Lane Middle School on April 19.

The district announced in a news release Monday that the free job fair in the middle school’s cafeteria will run from 3 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19. The fair will allow interested participants to interview with hiring managers, become more familiar with career opportunities and apply for job vacancies, such as paraprofessionals, substitute paraprofessionals, substitute teachers and food service workers.

The district said it offers competitive benefits, paid training and a supportive environment. Candidates applying to any vacancy are encouraged to apply online at www.waterfordschools.org and call human resources at (860) 440-1863 to reserve an interview time for the event. Interested applicants can also bring a resume and work contact references to the event.

Waterford Public Schools serve approximately 2,400 students from pre-K through grade 12 in three elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. The district said it is actively seeking to diversify its administration, faculty and staff to “better reflect our students’ multiple identities and to bring a broader range of experiences into our district to continue to enhance the teaching and learning for all.”
