Montville grand list increases by 0.8%
Montville ― The town’s overall grand list of taxable property increase slightly by 0.8% in 2022.
“It was a pretty average year,” Tax Assessor Lucy Beit said.
The town’s net grand list, which includes real estate, motor vehicles and personal property, rose by a little more than $13 million to $1.6 billion.
Real estate accounted for the largest portion of the list and totaled $1.2 billion for a 1.2% increase. Motor vehicle values increased by 6% to a total of $181.6 million. Personal property, which is mainly business equipment, decreased by $8.9 million, or 4.3%, to a total of $206.5 million.
