    Getting the roses ready

    Norwich ― A group of Norwich Public Works employees spent time Wednesday preparing the Veterans Memorial Rose Garden for the season.

    The employees started working in the garden mid April. The group spent time Wednesday, pruning, edging and adding new mulch to the garden beds and replacing rose bushes that were not doing well.

    The roses will begin to bloom in June.
