Ledyard ― Several roads will temporarily be closed on Sunday starting at 1 p.m. for the annual Memorial Day Parade, sponsored by the Ledyard Lions Club.

Route 117 in Ledyard Center will be closed for about 15 minutes at the start of the parade. The parade travels along Colonel Ledyard Highway and ends at Ledyard High School. Colonel Ledyard Highway will also be closed for the duration of the parade, which is expected to last around 45 minutes.

Motorists should expect minor delays in the area and are encouraged to plan accordingly. Motorists and residents on Colonel Ledyard Highway, Wolf Ridge Gap, Fairway Drive, Colby Drive, Center Drive, Blonder Boulevard and Gallup Hill Road should expect minor delays in the area and are asked to use caution for the safety of parade participants.
