    New London ― Connecticut Landmarks and partners hosted their annual Juneteenth Festival at the Hempsted Houses in New London on Sunday, June 11, 2023. There was a reflection service led by the Rev. Michael Cagle along with live music and dancing. The three-day event included campfire conversations, community celebrations, and a Sunday Service all focused on the surrounding community, African American history and inhabitants of the site.
