Norwich ― The city’s first cannabis retail store will hold a grand opening Friday, starting with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:30 a.m., live radio broadcast and food trucks in the afternoon.

Zen Leaf Norwich, a combined medical/recreational cannabis dispensary, is located at 606 West Main St., the site of a former walk-in medical clinic. The Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce and the Norwich Community Development Corp. will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony and doors open officially at 9 a.m.

Radio station JAMMIN 107.7-FM will broadcast live from 1 to 4 p.m. Ted’s Steamed Cheeseburgers food truck will be on site from 1 to 4 p.m. and Uncle D’s Blazin BBQ will be open from 4 to 6 p.m.
