    Make A Difference: Thames River Family Program

    WHO: Jackie, a young mother with two children, Julie and John.

    AGENCY: Thames River Family Program.

    THEIR SITUATION: Jackie came to Thames River Family Program, which provides transitional housing for homeless pregnant and parenting youth 18 to 24 years of age, after leaving an abusive relationship and lacking family support. She has worked hard to obtain services for her son, John, who was diagnosed with autism during her residency. John is in kindergarten and doing well. Julie is a bright and cheerful toddler. Jackie is working and transitioning into her own apartment.

    WHAT TO DONATE: John likes Ninja Turtles, Ryan World and sensory items, and wears clothing size 5/6 and shoe size 13-1. Julie likes dolls, baby alive and cooking sets, and wears clothing size 24 months and shoe size 5-6. Jackie would like gift cards for groceries, gas cards and household items.
