WHO: A Norwich family in need

AGENCY: Madonna Place, a Norwich nonprofit that serves families in eastern Connecticut

SITUATION: A family that moved to Norwich a year ago is now having trouble making ends meet. The mother works third shift, and the father works the second shift so they can take care of their 11-year-old and 9-year-old daughters, and 1-year-old son. After living with other family members, they recently moved into their own apartment and do not have the means to create a home. Their priority is making enough money to pay the rent, utilities, and food. They do not have anything left for bringing joy to their children.

WHAT TO GIVE: Children’s toys, donations or gift cards for food, a stroller, diapers and wipes, and donations or gift cards for household items.
