East Lyme ― Li Liu, a classically trained acrobat, performed at the East Lyme Community Center’s activity room Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024.

Originally from China, she started focusing on acrobatic training at the age of 6 and traveled in a circus act with her father. She now tours the Northeast as a solo act and has performed at NBA and WNBA games as well as on The Late Show with David Letterman.

The event, sponsored by the East Lyme Public Library, is part of their Sunday family specials program. The new series offers shows and performers once a month during the winter said Rebecca Scotka, head of children’s and young adult services at the library. On Feb 4 a Celebrate Black History Month event is planned, and on March 10 will be Casey Carle’s Bubblemania. See more at www.eastlymepubliclibrary.org.
