New London featured on NESN’s “Explore New England” Sunday

New London ― The city will be featured on the New England Sports Network’s “Explore New England” show scheduled to air at 9 a.m. on Sunday.

Explore New England highlights locations for those interested in environmental tourism.

The “Naturally New London” segment includes footage of Ocean Beach, Thames River Heritage Park Water Taxi, Ledge Light, kayaking in Alewife Cove, the Black Heritage Trail and downtown, among other locations.

Show producers contacted the New London Cultural District Commission last year and video was recorded during the summer, according to Rich Martin, chairman of the commission.

The episode will be available for streaming beginning Feb. 23, on Explore New England's YouTube channel for those who do not get NESN. A trailer is available now for those who want to preview the episode.
