    Spring fair and book sale to be held at Mystic & Noank Library

    Mystic ― The Friends of the Mystic & Noank Library have announced its upcoming Annual Spring Fair and Annual Week Long Book Sale.

    The fair will be held 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 1, rain or shine, at the library at 40 Library St. in Mystic. The event is open to all and will feature books for all ages, White Elephant treasures, Franklin's Fudge, Food from Mystic Soup Co., Jealous Monk and more, Mystic Garden Club's plants and related items. The silent auction will continue until 2 p.m. The Mystic Calligraphers will make bookmarks in the morning, and there will be live entertainment from Brett and Barb, the Mystic Ukulele Strummers and the Mystic Garland Dancers.

    The Annual Week Long Book Sale at the library will begin with a preview party from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 30, with an entrance fee of $5 and all items 50% over the marked price.

    The sale, with books in many categories and for all ages, will continue from on Saturday, June 1, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the following week during regular library hours from Monday, June 3 until Saturday June 8 at 1 p.m.

    Friday will offer most items at half price, and Saturday, June 8, will feature a $5 bag sale, bags provided. The Friends will use the proceeds to support the library.
