Travel group cites region’s hotels, restaurants

Four hotels and three restaurants in the region have earned AAA Four Diamond Awards for 2015.

The hotels receiving the designation include three at the casinos - the Grand Pequot Tower and The Fox Tower, both at Foxwoods Resort Casino, and the Mohegan Sun hotel - and the Saybrook Point Inn & Spa in Old Saybrook.

The restaurants cited were Octagon, at the Mystic Marriott in Groton; Paragon, on the Grand Pequot Tower's 24th floor; and Fresh Salt, at the Saybrook Point Inn & Spa.

Mohegan Sun and Saybrook Point have been awarded Four Diamond status every year since since 2002.
