    Brittany Conklin Weds Timothy Oberlin

    Brittany Chantel Conklin married her college sweetheart Timothy Martin Oberlin on Aug. 3, 2013 during a candlelight service held at North Stonington Baptist Church in North Stonington. A cocktail hour and dinner reception followed at Laurel Lane Country Club in West Kingston, Rhode Island. The bride is the daughter of Bryan and Deborah Bonwill Conklin of North Stonington, formerly of North Branford. She is the granddaughter of Connie and the late Michael Bonwill of North Branford and Harry and Lorraine Conklin of Florida. The groom is the son of Lois and Mark Oberlin and the grandson of Helen and John Oberlin and Aline and the late Martin Talsma, all of Michigan.

    Pastor Larry Chappell officiated the wedding ceremony. Vanessa Conklin, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridemaids were Janine Enold and Alexandra Conklin, sisters of the bride; and Erica Cofer and Maria Baush.

    Aaron Smith, college roommate of the groom, served as the best man. Groomsmen were Samuel Oberlin, brother of the groom; and Bryce Enold, David Bausch, and Steven Copeland. Ushers were James Bilskis and Aaron Bausch.

    The bride and groom were members of the 2012 graduating class of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. The bride graduated cum laude with a bachelor's of science in biblical studies with minors in youth ministry and Greek. She is a teacher's aide in the Sheffield Elementary School in the Lynchburg school system. The groom earned his bachelor's degree in environmental science with a minor in psychology. He is pursuing a master's degree in education and works as an assistant instructional designer at Liberty University.

    Following a honeymoon in New England, the couple resides in Lynchburg, Virginia.
