Michael and Mary Walachy of Westfield are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Elizabeth to Joshua Thomas Patterson, son of Vincent Patterson Jr. and Karen Patterson of Salem.

The couple met while both attending Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I.

Sarah received a bachelor of science degree in psychology from Roger Williams University and a master’s degree in social work from Rhode Island College. She is employed as an assistant development specialist at Family and Community Resources, Inc. in Brockton, Mass.

Josh received a bachelor of science degree in construction management from Roger Williams University and is employed as an assistant project manager at GenCon, Inc. in West Bridgewater, Mass. The couple reside in Easton, Mass.

Their wedding will take place on June 10, 2017, at Linden Place in Bristol, R.I.
