Mr. and Mrs. James Willed Fairfield-Sonn Sr. of Old Lyme announce the engagement of their daughter, Anne Madeline, to Brendan Charles Giblin of Boston, son of Beverly Giblin of Rye, N.H. and Stephen Giblin of Blaine, Wash.

Ms. Fairfield-Sonn is a graduate of Lyme-Old Lyme High School and Wellesley College. She is a public relations manager at Skillsoft. Mr. Giblin is a graduate of The Governor’s Academy and Hobart and William Smith Colleges. He is a group and catering sales leader at Marriott International.

A September 2018 wedding is planned.
