Jeannette Burnett (left) born Sept. 16, 1921, in Lowell, Mass. Moved to New London when she was 5 years of age. Marie O’Neil (right) born July 17, 1921, in New London, both residents at Solstice Senior Living, 425 Drozdyk Drive, Groton.

It is truly amazing that both ladies turned 100 years old just two months apart but what is even more amazing is both of these ladies graduated together from the Williams Memorial Institute in New London, June of 1940. They lived around the corner from each other and now reside in their own apartments at Solstice. They can continue to celebrate milestones together like 100th birthday’s as they did their high school graduation.
