    88 sailors graduate from Basic Enlisted Submarine School

    Groton — Eighty-eight sailors of “Class 13180,” USS Tang (SS-306), graduated from Basic Enlisted Submarine School, Friday, April 5.

    Aviation Mechanic First Class Robert Schultz was the class honorman. Electronics Technician Third Class Kevin Sims, the class leader, received the Submarine Heritage Award. Seaman Recruit Justin Clark received the Navy Core Values Award and Seaman Apprentice Christopher Brunner was meritoriously advanced.

    Aviation Electronics Technician Second Class James Breeden, Seaman Apprentice Alexander Osborn, Seaman Apprentice Cameron Meyer, Machinist’s Mate Third Class Michael Squire, Seaman Andrew Larsen, Machinist’s Mate Third Class Nicholas Terrio, Seaman Apprentice Ben Ly, Seaman Carl Onyewu, Seaman Vonnie McDaniels, Seaman James Matlock and Fireman Apprentice Emilio Guerra were named graduates with distinction.
