Army Capt. Pedersen-Keel's portrait to hang in State Capitol Wall of Honor

Hartford — The portrait of Army Capt. Andrew Michael Pedersen-Keel, of Madison, will be added to the Wall of Honor tribute in the State Capitol complex at the annual addendum ceremony at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, May 23, in the Atrium of the Legislative Office Building on Capitol Avenue.

Pedersen-Keel, 28, was killed in Afghanistan in March.

The public is invited to attend the ceremony. Pedersen-Keel’s relatives, as well as family members of the 63 Connecticut service members who died previously in the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, are expected to attend.

The names of all of the service members on the wall will be read and family members will have the opportunity to give remarks. Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman created the Wall of Honor in 2007 and hosts the annual ceremony.
