'Godfather' Panel

Tribeca Film Festival

If there's anyone reading this who hasn't seen "The Godfather" and "The Godfather Part II" at least 15 and up to 50 times each, raise your hand. I didn't think so. Even so — and despite the fact that "behind the scenes" anecdotes about these two movies are almost as culturally well-known as the lyrics to "Jingle Bells" — a recent onstage panel at the Tribeca Film Festival is well worth watching. Moderated by filmmaker Taylor Hackford, the panelists included director Francis Ford Coppola and stars Al Pacino, James Caan, Robert DeNiro, Diane Keaton, Robert Duvall and Talia Shire — and it's a pretty amazing discussion. Even if you've heard some of it before, the memories through the context that many of these superstars were nobodies at the time, is amazing to see. And there are plenty of new bits that are hilarious and revealing. Google "godfather reunion Tribeca."
