Tully

This is such a great movie — even though there were several points where I wondered, “Where the hell is this story going?” Trust me, it’s worth hanging in there. Charlize Theron plays an exhausted, possibly depressed mother of two kids and one newborn. She is clearly feeling overwhelmed, despite having a nice, if not terribly helpful husband. Into this chaos comes can-do helper Tully (Mackenzie Davis), a night nurse. This film is by the team behind “Juno” — writer Diablo Cody and director Jason Reitman — and it’s another quirky success.
