The Stranger, Netflix

Netflix has taken Harlen Coben's bewitching and confounding bestseller — one of six he writes every week — and adapted it to a British upper class neighborhood rather than the author's usual New Jersey suburbia. The English culture and accents add intrigue to this story of the titular blackmailer who seems to know more than is possible about all sorts of folks who each have creepy secrets. Bonus points to Coben for letting his daughter write new material involving rich kids, a druggy bonfire and, of course, the requisite rich-kid-druggy-bonfire-severed-alpaca-head subplot.
