Movies are the focus at The Screening Room
It's the high season for movies, what with all the awards ceremonies honoring Hollywood's best.
But there's a local film fete, too. The Screening Room held as part of the Hygienic festival will showcase indie films in all their glorious variations - shorts, animation, features. Included are British filmmaker Doug Hindson's "Dis/Connect"; French filmmaker Guillaume Blanchet's "Bounce," a stop-motion travel film that was last year's Cannes Short Film Corner Award Winner; and New London artist Casey Moran's "Anastasia Goes to the Beach," described as "a Grey Gardens meets Andy Warhol-esque short film."
The lights go down and the movies start up Friday night at the Hygienic Galleries.
