    A film about NL’s LGBTQ+ community

Constance Kristofik’s documentary gets its cinema debut Tuesday at the Garde Arts Center.

“Holding Space for Each Other: New London’s LGBTQ+ Community” covers it all, from the early gay bars in the Whaling City to the AIDS/HIV epidemic to life now.

After the screening, which is presented by New London Landmarks, OutCT Interim President Chevelle Moss-Savage will moderate a Q&A with Kristofik and Xavier Day. Day is interviewed in the documentary, and he is the Ryan White Coordinator at Alliance for Living and serves on the board of OutCT.

“Holding Space for Each Other: New London’s LGBTQ+ Community,” 7 p.m. Tuesday, Garde Arts Center, 325 State ST., New London; free; gardearts.org, (860) 444-7373.
