    J. Geils Band freeze frames New Year's Eve

In 1973, when the J. Geils Band released "Bloodshot" - on red vinyl, no less! - I had a thought as the album was playing on my Montgomery Wards stereo. I said to myself, "Rico, in 36 years, the J. Geils Band will have been broken up for quite a while, yet I have a very strong feeling they'll reconvene and play a concert on New Year's Eve 2009 at a casino that hasn't been conceived of yet."And by God I was right!

And by God I was right! The JGB performs tonight at the Mohegan Sun Arena.

Either way, this is one of the great party bands of all time, and they can still bring it.
