Chantey Blast, scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the Centerbrook Meeting House, will feature some of New England's top sea chantey singers in a celebration of the Connecticut River. The concert will feature Rick Spencer, Dan Quinn, Geoff Kaufman, Joseph Morneault and others.

The event kicks off at 6 p.m. with a chantey man "meet and greet" followed by the show from 7 to 9 p.m.

The Centerbrook Meeting House is at 51 Main St. in the Centerbrook section of Essex. Suggested donation is $20, but all are welcome. Proceeds benefit the Connecticut River Museum, which needs major repairs after sustaining flood damage during Hurricane Sandy.
