Quiet Life: On Live Lunch Break and at the Wolf Den

Some musicians are road warriors; others hide in recording studios and rarely venture onto the concert stage.

Roots band Quiet Life - originally from New London/Waterford and currently residents of Portland, Oregon - are definitely members of the former category. Crisscrossing the country in a van running on recycled vegetable oil, Quiet Life has carved out a fine career as both a headlining act and one providing solid support for arena-level draws.

We're delighted QL is back in town and has agreed to perform at noon Thursday as the latest artists on The Day's award-winning "Live Lunch Break" concert series. The show takes place in New London's Telegraph Records. If you can't make it or can't get enough, Quiet Life plays later Thursday at the Mohegan Sun Wolf Den. Their latest EP, "Housebroken Man," features an appearance by Jim James of My Morning Jacket.
