Palm Sunday Mozart in Norwich
One of the greatest liturgical works of all time, Mozart's Requiem will be performed in a special Palm Sunday event at Saint Patrick Cathedral in Norwich.
Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra Music Director Toshi Shimada will lead core ECSO musicians, along with 90-plus singers including the ECSO Chorus prepared by Mark Singleton and the Norwich Diocesan Choir prepared by Douglas Green. Soloists will be soprano Mary Beth Lee, mezzo-soprano Caroline O'Dwyer, tenor Brian Cheney and baritone Scott Tomlinson.
Admission is free. Donations will be accepted and proceeds after orchestra expenses will be donated to St. Vincent De Paul Soup Kitchen in Norwich.
