    Don’t stop them now

The music of Queen is iconic, but it always seems to surge in pop-culture prominence every once in a while, thanks to movies like “Wayne’s World” and “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

And while the real Queen still occasionally tours, with Adam Lambert filling in as vocalist for the late Freddie Mercury, some top-notch tribute acts are out all the time providing the next-best-thing-to-being-there Queen experience.

One Night of Queen, performed by Garry Mullen & The Works, will give an all-things-Queen concert Sunday at the Garde Arts Center. The Woks features Davie Brockett on guitar, Jonathan Evans on drums, Billy Moffat on bass and Malcolm Gentles on keyboards. The group has done sold-out shows for a decade-plus around the world.

One Night of Queen, 7 p.m. Sunday, Garde Arts Center, 325 State St., New London; $34-$59; (860) 444-7373, gardearts.org.
