They will be invincible: Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo at Mohegan Sun

The only bad time I’ve had at a Pat Benatar concert was when a person sitting behind me thought she should sing along with Every. Single. Song.

    Loudly. And off key.

Nah, I’m over it. Even someone like that can’t ruin the badass rock team that is Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo. They’re responsible for some truly great songs. And if you wonder if her voice and his guitar-playing are still awesome, check out their recent performance as part of a tribute to Pink at iHeartRadio Music Awards last month. Pink, in the audience, looked like she was totally digging their version of “Just Like a Pill.” Pink must love Benatar/Giraldo; she has them opening for some of her concert dates this year.

But first, Benatar and Giraldo will be here. The duo, who have been married for 40 years, are headlining at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday.

Benatar and Giraldo were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last year, and there’s a new musical inspired by their songs.

Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, 8 p.m. Saturday, Mohegan Sun Arena; with Charlie Farren; $29.50-$79.50; mohegansun.com.
