The Cabaret Junior Fellows who are participating in the Cabaret & Performance Conference at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center in Waterford will perform there on Wednesday and in Westerly on Saturday.

The United in Westerly is partnering with the O’Neill for the 2023 Cabaret Junior Fellows concert on Saturday at The United.

Every year, the Junior Fellows focus on the unique songbook of a particular artist, group, or genre, which they ultimately perform on the main stage of the Cabaret and Performance Conference. The 2023 Cabaret Junior Fellows theme is “Magic: The Juniors Sing Olivia Newton-John.” The fellows will perform at 7 and 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, 305 Great Neck Road, Waterford.

In an encore performance, the singers, ages 15-18, will perform at The United at 1 p.m. Saturday.

The Cabaret Junior Fellows program offers a select group of students the opportunity for in-person professional vocal instruction, movement, and hands-on artistic guidance in the art of performance. Students gain interaction with world-renowned guest artists and professional faculty and acquire skills needed to make performance an important part of their creative lives. The concert is the culmination of their efforts.
