Now, here’s a double bill that makes sense.

Rock icon Melissa Etheridge is teaming up with fellow iconoclast/killer singer Elle King for a couple of concerts.

They are bringing their show to Foxwoods on Friday, and here’s hoping that they not only spin out their own individual sets but also join forces on some numbers. Their take-no-prisoners vocals would seem to blend perfectly. King on “Like the Way I Do,” or Etheridge on “Ex’s and Oh’s”? Or Etheridge taking on Miranda Lambert’s part on the raucous duet “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)”? Just imagine.
