Rhode Island lands new EU businesses
Five companies that Gov. Lincoln Chafee met with while in Europe in April are looking to establish operations in Rhode Island. Chafee and Gov.-elect Gina Raimondo announced Thursday.
Three of the five companies are headquartered in Italy: Supply chain specialist Euranet plans to open a Rhode Island office; restaurant franchiser Galivm says it intends to open its first North American restaurant in Rhode Island; and design consulting firm Reios plans a manufacturing facility.
Irish furniture maker Monaghan Brothers says it plans a showroom and marketing office. The English encryption technology company Score also plans to set up a Rhode Island office.
