Should you find your family out for a day of shopping at The Shoppes, take advantage of the children’s play area, Huckleberry’s Hideaway. This area gives parents a chance to sit down, relax, and let their children (up to 42” in height) take a break from shopping and expel some pent-up energy climbing on several play structures. Considerately, the floor is cushioned and carpeted so you don’t have to worry much about a trip and fall. This convenient play area is offered free of charge. While at The Shoppes, you may want to take advantage of Dave and Buster’s for some family fun time. D&B offers a full menu and a 60,000-square foot space filled with too many games to list, as well as billiards and shuffleboard tables. Most games award tickets redeemable for gifts. There are many Eat and Play Combos available for a very affordable price.

And that is our list! Hopefully this will aid in your family’s quest to make some awesome memories without the threat of frostbite. Click here for more from the winter issue of Connecticut Family magazine.
