Lawrence Walter Doolan, 52, a lifelong resident of Guilford, died Dec. 9 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. He was the beloved fiancé of Leigh Malicki. He was born in New Haven on July 18, 1958, son of the late Walter E. and Eileen Sullivan Doolan. Larry was a self employed carpenter who enjoyed riding his Harley and spending quality time with friends. He was a selfless person, donating his time to help loved ones, as well as supporting charitable organizations. Larry was also a member of the men's auxiliary VFW Post 7666, Guilford, and the Moose Lodge. He will be truly missed by his friends and family.

Besides his fiancée, he is survived by his brother, Robert Doolan and his wife Alice of East Haven. He is also survived by a niece and three nephews, Alicia, Anthony, Christopher, and Patrick Doolan, and his fiancée's children, Loren and Eric Malicki. He was predeceased by a brother, Michael Timothy Doolan.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 14, at 4 p.m., at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford. Friends may call prior to the services, from 3 to 4 p.m., at the funeral home.
