Janet Reynolds, 90, of East Haven, died at home on Feb. 24 after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late James Reynolds. Mrs. Reynolds was born in New Haven on May 28, 1920, daughter of the late Eugene and Olga Benson Daniels. She had worked for the New Haven Register for 20 years and was an active communicant of St. Clare Church in East Haven.

She is survived by seven children, Eileen Reynolds of Lexington, Massachusetts, Eugene Reynolds and his wife Francine of Avon, New Jersey, Thomas Reynolds and his wife Nancy of Oakton, Virginia, Robert Reynolds and his wife Gerda of New Haven, Anne Reynolds of New Haven, Kathleen Oxsalida and her husband Allen of Branford, and William Reynolds and his wife Joanne of East Haven. She is also survived by two sisters, Barbara Farquarson of East Haven and Carolyn Daniels of Bellefont, Pennsylvania; her daughter-in-law, Diane Reynolds of East Haven; 28 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, James Reynolds, Jr. and John Reynolds; a daughter, Patricia Sgro; and her brother, Eugene Daniels, Jr.

A mass of Christian burial was held on Feb. 28 at St. Clare Church, East Haven. Burial was in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the James & John Reynolds Scholarship Fund, c/o Notre Dame High School, 24 Ricardo St., West Haven, CT 06516. The W.S.
