Cheu K. Pon, 74, of North Haven, died on Sept. 7 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. He was the husband of Kan T. Wong Pon. Cheu was born on Oct. 11, 1936 in Toi Shan, China, son of the late Ping Nam and Yue Chu Kong Poon. Cheu had worked as an assembler for Covidien Corporation until his retirement.

He is survived by his children, Connie Wan of South Windsor, Yu Ping Li of North Haven, and Teddy Pon of Los Angles, California. He is also survived by two daughters and two sons overseas, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, six brothers, and one sister.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted in All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave., North Haven, on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 10 a.m. The visiting hours will be Monday, Sept. 26, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., North Haven.  www.northhavenfuneral.com
