George J. Stacy, 77, of East Haven, beloved husband of Shirley I.Burlison Stacy, died in Branford on June 24. He was born in New Haven on April 3, 1935, son of the late Ann Simpson Stacy. He was a graduate of Hillhouse High School and had been employed for over 61 years at the Perkins Stamp Company in New Haven.

Besides his wife, he is survived by five children, Beverly Garceau of Meriden, Kathleen Bowers of Naugatuck, Judith Ortscheid of Orange County, California, Debra Perez of Miami Springs, Florida, and Robert Atcherson of North Muskegon, Michigan. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
