Roberta Lovelace (“Robbie”) Ahlberg, 83, of Northford, died July 14 at the Connecticut Hospice.  She was the wife of the late Fred F. Ahlberg. Robbie was born in New Haven on June 5, 1929, daughter of the late Raleigh Bryan Jones and Roberta Lovelace Jones. She was a graduate of Stone College and had been a private secretary for over 50 years at the New Haven Savings Bank prior to her retirement.  She was also a member of the North Haven Congregational Church and was a Past Worthy Advisor – New Haven Order of Rainbow and a member of Mystic Chapter No. 20 Order of the Eastern Star. In addition, she was a past-president of the North Branford Woman’s Club, served on the North Branford Visiting Nurses Association, and was a member of the Collie Club of America and the New Haven Wives of Rotarians. Robbie loved her dogs and cats.  She also liked to sew, enjoyed traveling and gardening, and she was an avid photographer.

She is survived by her brother, Brian Jones of Fountain Inn, South Carolina, and many close family and friends. 

Services are private, with burial in the Northford Cemetery.  Contributions may be made in her name to the Connecticut Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.  The Keenan Funeral Home, North Branford, is in charge of arrangements.
