Marion (Mame) Martin Sadler, 97, of Sandwich, Massachusetts, formerly of Old Saybrook, died on July 27. She was the wife of the late Robert Sadler. Mame was born in Middletown on June 25, 1915 and spent most of her life in the shoreline area. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending her time with her family, hosting many holiday gatherings and sleepovers for her grandchildren. She was a wonderful baker who also enjoyed quilting, reading, travel, and crossword puzzles, and she was known for her sense of humor.

She is survived by her daughters, June O’Brien of Essex, Nancy McGuerty of Eugene, Oregon, Joan Long and her husband Donald of Sandwich, Massachusetts, and Karen Wellman of New Haven. She is also survived by six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three grandchildren.

A private memorial service was held at Cypress Cemetery in Old Saybrook.
