Nancy Lee Knapp, 70, a long time resident of Milford and the beloved wife of Frederick Knapp, died at home on Aug. 29 surrounded by loved ones. Nancy graduated from New Britain High School and Central Connecticut College.

Nancy was known for her love of animals, gardening, the UCONN Huskies, and Mohegan Sun Basketball. She and her husband Fred shared many happy years together in Old Saybrook, and their love of travel frequently found them at Disney and in Cancun.

Nancy is survived by her children and their spouses, Frederick and Marilynn, Tracey and Michele, Robert and Kimberly, and Amy and Bryan Martin; six grandchildren; and a grandchild due in October.  She is also survived by a sister, June Turner and husband Bill and their children.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the MS Society.
