    Marilyn F. Rich, 63, Madison

Marilyn F. Rich, 63, of Madison, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on Oct. 9.  She was the best friend and beloved wife of John Rich. Marilyn was born on April 19, 1949, devoted daughter of the late Nicholas and Shirley (Gundert) Williams.  She graduated from Port Chester High School in 1967 and earned an associate’s degree from Sacred Heart University.  She had worked at Pitney Bowes in Stamford for over 25 years before joining Credit Services, Inc. as vice president, and later became president of her own corporation.

An avid New York Yankees fan, Marilyn also loved to cook, travel, golf, and entertain.  She was happiest spending time with her loving family and friends.  Marilyn was a kind, generous, and thoughtful person, always giving to others.  She never missed an opportunity to lend a hand or show she cared.  She went out of her way to make everyone around her feel special and at home.  She was loved by all who knew her.

Besides her loving husband, she is survived by her stepdaughter Jennifer Gdula; her stepson Christopher Rich; and two brothers, Peter Williams and his wife, Pam and Patrick Williams and his wife, Cindy.  She is also survived by nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and a grandniece, as well as many loving family members and friends.

Friends and family are invited to gather for a memorial mass in her honor on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 11:30 a.m., at St. Margaret’s Church, 24 Academy St., Madison.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Smile Group at St. Margaret’s Church or to Little Miracles at St. Margaret’s Church. The Swan Funeral Home, Madison, is in charge of arrangements. Please visit www.swanfuneralhomemadison.com for memorial tributes.
