Phillip Castellon, 86, of Oak Gate Dr., Branford, died Oct. 4 at the Smilow Cancer Hospital.  He was the husband of the late Christine Gambardella Castellon. Phillip was born on June 21, 1926, son of the late Henry and Mary Tuscano Castellon.  He, along with his brothers, had owned and operated Castellon's Bakery for many years.  Phillip was a member of the Guilford Sportsman Association, the New Haven Gun Club, and Wepawaug Sams Camping Club, as well as being a proud member of American Legion Post 83.

He is survived by three children, Maryann Hensinger and her husband Robert, Cristina Davies, and Henry Castellon; two grandchildren, Stacey O'Neil and her husband Sean and Robert Hensinger, Jr. and his wife Kristin; and three great-grandchildren, Kinley and Keegan O'Neil, and Brady Hensinger. He is also survived by two brothers, Henry Castellon and his wife Ann and Anthony Castellon.  He was predeceased by three brothers, Ralph, Vincent, and Charles Castellon.  

A mass of Christian burial was held at St. Therese Church, Branford. Burial was in St. Agnes Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven Hospital, 20 York St., New Haven, CT 06510. The East Haven Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
