    Lenore Rose Manley, 89, Branford

    Lenore Rose Manley, 89, of Branford, died peacefully on Oct. 18 at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford. She was the wife of the late Robert Manley. Lenore was born in Archibald, Pennsylvania, on Dec. 16, 1922, daughter of the late John and Levina Platzer. She was a member of the St. Mary Church Ladies Guild, the Red Hat Society, the East Haven Senior Center Round Dance, and the Friends of the Blackstone Library. She was also past president of the Seaside Swingers and was a volunteer at the Orchard House Adult Day Care in Branford.

    She is survived by her children, James Manley and his wife Dolores of Riverview, Florida, formerly of Madison, Suzanne Ferraiuolo of Branford, Steven Manley of Branford, and Lynda Meinsen and her husband Curtis of Branford. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Laura Chadwick, Kimberly Transue, Carey Jerominek, Sean Manley, Jeffrey Ferraiuolo, Chad Ferraiuolo, Carly Manley, Michelle Manley, Carissa Meinsen, and Jessica Meinsen, as well as three great-grandchildren, Lindsey Chadwick, Alivia Transue, and Tyler Jerominek. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Nicole Manley, and her sister, June Kushmerick.

    A mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, Oct. 22, at St. Mary Church in Branford. Burial was in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Orchard House, 421 Shore Dr., Branford, CT 06405, or to the Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405. The W.S.
