Catherine Ferraro Ceravone, 102, of 63 Mariot Circle, Wallingford, formerly of Hamden, West Haven, and New Haven, died peacefully on May 5 at the St. Mary’s Hospital Vitas Hospice Unit, Waterbury, after a short illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter Ceravone, Sr.  Mrs. Ceravone was born in Gioia Sannitica, Province of Caserta, Italy, on Feb. 24, 1911, daughter of the late Alexander and Philomena Pascale Ferraro.

She is survived by her daughter Carol A. Ceravone of Wallingford; two sons, Peter Ceravone, Jr. and his wife Marie of Wallingford and William J. Ceravone, Sr. of Branford; a brother, Alexander Ferraro of Hamden; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by four sisters, Rose Erico, Angie Esposito, Bella Romano, and Mary Mangini, and six brothers, Fred, Alphonse, Carmen, Joseph, Arthur, and Marshall Ferraro.

Her family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, May 8, from noon to 1 p.m., at the Torello-Iacobucci Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service, officiated by The Rev. Timothy Meehan, will be conducted at the funeral home at 1 p.m., followed by burial in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
