Robert R. Leonzo, 70, husband of Andrea Chalot Leonzo of East Haven, died on June 4 at the St. Raphael Campus of Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the son of the late Carmen and Grace Massaro Leonzo. Prior to his retirement, Bob had been a superintendent with Metro North Railroad and had also worked for the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad, Penn Central, and Conrail for 30 years.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two children, Robert C. Leonzo of East Haven and Robyn Reynolds and her husband Joseph, also of East Haven; his granddaughter, Callie Reynolds; and three sisters, Marcia King and her husband Terrence of East Haven, Carol “Cookie” Sierejko and her husband Joseph of East Haven, and Alice Schilling and her husband William of New Haven. He is also survived by eight nieces and a nephew.

His funeral procession will leave the Porto Funeral Home, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte 80), East Haven, on Friday, June 7, at 9 a.m., for a mass of Christian burial at Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
