William Fallon Bennett, 84, of Branford, formerly of Fairfield and Trumbull, died on June 10 in Masonicare, Wallingford. Born Aug. 18, 1928 in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Adrian and Catherine Fallon Bennett. He attended Fairfield Preparatory School and Fairfield University. He served in the United States Army during the Japanese occupation. He was employed by the IRS for many years until retiring. He enjoyed being on the salt water and was a very knowledgeable pleasure boater. He is survived by his son William Francis Bennett, his granddaughter Tamera Ann Bennett, his sister Catherine Ward, his brother Adrian Bennett, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Penny Ann Bennett.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian burial on Monday, June 17 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Branford. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Fairfield.
